THE LIBRARY GALLERY - ITS ROLE
Whilst institutions like Yale's Art Gallery holds treasures such as paintings by Picasso and pterodactyl remains, The Library Gallery is still in its infancy, but through perseverance and dedication is building up strong holdings of other kinds of material which can be very accessible to students, faculty and visitors. Its role in short, is to develop the gallery into an area where public exhibition, research and teaching can truly learning intersect.

THE LIBRARY GALLERY MISSION STATEMENT
To provide public education services related to learning and practice across the range of arts and sciences studied at Chang Gung University.
To provide particular expertise in the display, management and promotion of collections relevant to teaching and practice.
To act as the physical and intellectual agent that connects and links visual material with library-based subject expertise through focused communication.
To be a centre for arts-related goals, interests and curiosities.
To embrace the responsibility of providing subjects of interest to the broad community of scholars, researchers, students, and other readers within and outside Chang Gung University.

THE LIBRARY GALLERY - FUTURE CONTINUED SUCCESS
With further development of the Gallery's notable links with other Universities and seats of learning in Taiwan and the planned increased representation of other areas of interest, The Library Gallery can reflect the ways in which Chang Gung University Library can seek to better understand and locate itself within the region.
It is hoped that The Library Gallery could be the leading University Library Arts and Humanities cultural space in Taiwan, showcasing diverse series of exhibitions and comprehensive educative programmes to engage people of all ages, drawing upon local and international sources to secure the best material available for public viewing.

長庚大學圖書館藝廊 — 成立宗旨

相較於世界性的大學美術館有許多的珍藏--例如耶魯大學美術館收藏有畢卡索畫作及翼手龍化石等，長庚大學圖書館藝廊仍為草創初期，惟有持之以恆與用心經營，本藝廊方能建立起對本校教職員生及訪客最具親和性的特色收藏。簡而言之，本藝廊之成立宗旨為發展一個能提供展覽、研究與教學三者輕易自然地交融為一的展示空間。

長庚大學圖書館藝廊 — 任務使命

提供長庚大學內跨人文科學領域學習的教育服務。
提供針對教學相關特藏的展示、管理與宣導的專業協助。
經由展示，在視覺展示品與圖書館館藏學科主題間，扮演實體空間與無形智慧上的聯繫與溝通橋樑。
成為促進藝術發展、激發藝術興趣與好奇心的中心。
肩負起提供長庚大學內外學者、研究人員、學生與大眾相關主題資訊的責任。

經由進一步發展與其他大學的密切聯繫以及在台灣教育的地位，加上計畫中增加的多樣性表現，圖書館藝廊能展現出長庚大學圖書館將如何能更瞭解與提升於此區域中的地位。
期許長庚大學圖書館藝廊將能躍居台灣各大學圖書館藝文中心的領導地位，提供給各年齡層的參觀者多樣性的展覽以及完整的教育性計畫，同時將會透過地區性與國際性來源提供首選展覽品。
